Emptied Himself all all the blood
which was the flood to wash us clean

So we can rise with Him again

It is new and fresh, must be retold
The blood that gushed out from His side that day
Still washes clean today
The power released never wanes
His lashes still heals all pains
My God emptied Himself of all

Used to pray and got no answers
Used to cry out without hope that God would hear my voice
‘Cos my sin had sent out from His presence
In a hole of desperation
In a prison of hopeless existence
Couldn’t pay what I owed even if tried real hard forever

I heard about forgiveness
A life where I didn’t have to try
I heard about forgiveness
A place I did not have to cry
(to be heard by God)
I heard the full cost of my sin was paid
and Justice had been served indeed
Now I can have forgiveness
and be truly free

Now I pray and there are answers
Now I call out, I know that God is glad to hear my voice
There’s no sin between me and The Father
In His presence I live and I’m full of joy
No prison walls around me
Eternal hope is mine and there is no debt to pay forever

I heard about forgiveness
A life where I didn’t have to try
I heard about forgiveness
A place I did not have to cry
(to be heard by God)
I heard the full cost of my sin was paid
and Justice had been served indeed
Now I can have forgiveness
and be truly free
