Used to pray and got no answers
Used to cry out without hope that God would hear my voice
‘Cos my sin had sent out from His presence
In a hole of desperation
In a prison of hopeless existence
Couldn’t pay what I owed even if tried real hard forever
I heard about forgiveness
A life where I didn’t have to try
I heard about forgiveness
A place I did not have to cry
(to be heard by God)
I heard the full cost of my sin was paid
and Justice had been served indeed
Now I can have forgiveness
and be truly free
Now I pray and there are answers
Now I call out, I know that God is glad to hear my voice
There’s no sin between me and The Father
In His presence I live and I’m full of joy
No prison walls around me
Eternal hope is mine and there is no debt to pay forever
I heard about forgiveness
A life where I didn’t have to try
