My Confidence

Look ahead
set my eyes
on the prize
I desire, I’m goin’ for it

see behind
take the lessons
from before
I am armed (or so I think)
I’m equipped
feeling strong
or feeling tired it doesn’t matter
All my plans, all my prep
I lay them down before the throne

My confidence is Christ alone.
In Jesus Christ I trust alone.
No earthly fortress, plan or scheme
can replace the assurance in Him.

I’m on top, got it worked
Backup plans
Got it covered I’ve got it covered
I’ve got time, Lot’s of time

I could miss
In my head I know it’s done
All of this, all of that
I lay them down before the throne
